Gary Hunter has been "Working With Dummies" for most of his life.  Politically incorrect?  That depends on who's speaking!

It all started when he was thirteen years old and wanted someone to talk to.  Rather than simply making conversation with himself, Gary invented an alter ego with whom he could converse.  An act was born.  He started performing as a ventriloquist for schools, churches and social functions and his career was launched.  He’s been performing professionally since 1975, when he boarded his first cruise ship in the port of Miami.

Hundreds of cruises later with stops in over 165 countries he has visited some of the most famous sites in the world, including; the Pyramids of Egypt, the Coliseum in Rome, the Parthenon in Greece, the Great Wall of China, the Lost City of Petra in Jordan, plus he’s walked the Via del arosa in Jerusalem, been on safari and trekked with the mountain gorillas in Africa, fished on the Amazon River and the list goes on.  

All because he "Works with Dummies".

His career performances include appearances on television, commercials and nightclubs, but his love for the sea, “the vaudeville of today”, has been his life since 1975.  A past two-time winner of “Crystal Entertainer of the Year,” Gary is now please to serve as Ventriloquist Performer and Cruise Director on the Crystal Serenity with Crystal Cruises.

In 2014, he was voted Best Cruise Director by Porthole Cruise Magazine.

Making his home in North Central Florida, he enjoys time off with his family, cooking southern style food, playing golf and attending the First Baptist Church of Chiefland.

When not at sea, Gary is available for Corporate Events, Private Parties, Charity and Fundraisers, etc.
